Grossglockner Mountain run
The Grossglockner Mountain Run, leads through all alpine vegetation levels – from the alpine cultural landscape to the high alpine glacier region. After the start, the route runs through the village to the valley head of Heiligenblut. Then it goes in direction to the “Sattelalm” and afterwards to the “Briccius Chapel”. The longest glacier in the Eastern Alps, the Pasterze, is reached via the “Trogalm”. After a distance of 13 kilometers and 1,494 difference in altitude, the finish is on the “Kaiser Franz-Josefs-Höhe”.
