12 km of cross-country ski trails around Heiligenblut offer you a great cross-country skiing program. The choice is yours. Long and challenging or short and crisp. Many meters in altitude or leisurely laps in the valley. The view of the high mountains of the national park is always breathtaking. However, you can also do your cross-country laps right in front of the Großglockner. At the gates of Heiligenblut, the two high-altitude trails "Großglockner" and "Sonnblick" await you and your cross-country skis. While most of the trails are between 1,000 and 1,300 m above sea level, you can ski at altitudes of up to 2,300 m above sea level on the high-altitude trails. The training effect couldn't be better.

We pay attention to signals, running directions and running technique (classic or skating)
We run in the right-hand lane on double and multiple lanes
Cross-country skiing groups run one behind the other in the right lane
We overtake on the left or right, the person being overtaken does not need to take evasive action
In the event of encounters, we swerve to the right - downhill riders have priority
We carry the poles close to our bodies when overtaking and passing
We adapt the speed to the trail, the ability and the visibility
When we stop, we get off the trail and clear it
In the event of an accident, we stop and provide assistance as far as possible
