Grossglockner Mountain Run
The selective route of the Grossglockner Mountain Run leads through all levels of alpine vegetation - from the cultivated alpine landscape to the high alpine glacier region. After the start, the route runs through the village to the head of the Heiligenblut valley. It then heads towards the Sattelalm and on to the Briccius Chapel. The longest glacier in the Eastern Alps, the Pasterze, is reached via the Trogalm. After a distance of 13 kilometers and 1,494 vertical meters, the finish is at the Kaiser Franz-Josefs-Höhe.
