The house of the ibexes "The king and his throne"

In the "House of the Ibex" you can experience the habitat of the King of the Alps up close. The interactive exhibition takes you on a journey of discovery of the Hohe Tauern National Park, from the creation of the world's first national park to the challenging living conditions of our summit regions. Gold mining village Heiligenblut

The gold rush will enchant you and your children. The gold mining village of Heiligenblut is a faithful reconstruction of a real 16th century gold mining settlement. It was built on historical ground and takes you and your family back to one of the region's most exciting eras. Let us show you how gold was mined in the past and try your own luck. Let's go, put on your wellies and head for the Fleißbach. With a bit of luck, you might find a nugget or two yourself!

Sturm-Archehof, Knopfmacherstube & Sturm-Archehof library

At the Sturm-Hof we also invite you on a journey through time. The farm is a witness to a bygone era and was originally a very large and influential mountain farm in Heiligenblut. It is situated at 1,300 m above sea level at the foot of the Grossglockner and has always been a home and workplace for farmers. Hubert Pucher has been practicing his craft of button-making there for 10 years and is happy for you to watch him at work.

Farm museum Whistler

At the Pfeifer open-air farm museum in Heiligenblut am Grossglockner, you feel like you have successfully stepped back into the good old days. Nothing overloaded, nothing staged, just the certainty that this simple, bygone way of life of our ancestors in this mountain home has something breathtaking about it. Step into the "old" times of our ancestors and experience how people lived in the mountains back then.

Have you ever seen an original, originally preserved loom at work? Then the Webstube Heiligenblut am Grossglockner is the right place for you. Visit the weaving room and admire the people at work. You can admire handicrafts made from the farm's own sheep's wool and all kinds of handicrafts and then purchase them.

Apriacher Stock mills

The man-made cultural landscape is just as much a part of the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut adventure area as the natural spectacles created by nature. Like the stock mills in Appriach. The name "Stock" mills is not derived from their arrangement, but from the respective drive of the millstones, the so-called "Stock".

The carol singers from Heiligenblut

An age-old tradition that we bring to life anew every year in Heiligenblut am Grossglockner. When the first Christmas holidays are over, the carol singers set off and walk through the snow-covered Heiligenblut. They sing ancient songs that conjure up a particularly festive atmosphere in the harsh winter of early January.

Cultural workshop Rojach 18

The Kulturwerkstatt Rojach 18 sees itself as a mediator between traditional folk art and new art trends from outside, and the acquisition of the Rojach 18 property in Heiligenblut opened up new perspectives for Beisiegel. The idea of presenting contemporary art in the 140^m2 hall and also using it for cultural events gradually developed. The Kulturwerkstatt offers a forum for music, visual arts and cabaret.

Tauerngold at the Putzenhof

This exhibition is dedicated to the great search for gold in the Hohe Tauern. The treasure on display there reveals many secrets about the region's gold magic and conveys a feeling for the "intoxication" of times long past. This exhibition is appropriately located in the Putzenhof in Großkirchheim, a 500-year-old gold diggers' house. A truly magical place when it comes to the time of gold prospecting.

Toll tower Winklern

The toll tower towers above the village of Winklern and invites you to the "Tauern Crystal Treasure" exhibition, which takes you into the fascinating world of rock crystals. There is something exciting and somehow bizarre about rock crystals, that pure beauty dwells inside our mountains and wants to be brought to light by us. The exhibition stages the beauty of crystals in a very special way.
